1. About The Company

Q.What kind of market is the listed market?
This is listed on the first section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
Q.When was it listed?
We are listed on the Mothers market in February, 2013, and the first part of the market in July, 2016.
Q.When was the company established?
The company was established in April, 2003 as BEAUTY GARAGE Inc. in Shibuya, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo. In July, 2006, the company name was changed to BEAUTY GARAGE Inc.

Q.Please tell us the reason for the establishment.
The establishment originated with Shuichi Yoda, who built on the possibility of “used barber equipment sales” while running a hairdressing and beauty salon business. At the end of 2002, At the end of 2002,he consulted on the formulation of a business plan with recruit investors to Hideki Nomura who was an independent marketing planner through an advertising agency.
Nomura initially built a detailed business model and marketing strategy, but in the process, realized the growth potential of this business. In April 2003, BEAUTY GARAGE Inc. (currently BEAUTY GARAGE Inc.) was established by applying to Tomoda for Nomura’s own investment and business participation.
Q.Please describe your business.
Our company is a “product sales business” that sells a variety of hairdressing equipment and cosmetics to salons. We are also a “peripheral solution business” that provides and supports a range of services essential to the operation and management of beauty salons. These include hairdressing salons, beauty salons and aesthetic salons.

Q.What are the characteristics of each part of the business?
Product Sales Business
We offer over 1.4 million original products as well as manufacturer brands through our online shopping site “BEAUTY GARAGE Online Shop“. We have showrooms in major cities nationwide, and a mail order catalog called “BG Style.”
Through a reconsideration of “sales by wholesalers and dealers” and by eliminating intermediate distribution, we have broken free of conventional wisdom within the beauty industry. Our “competitive price” targets and “convenient delivery service” goals have been realized.


Peripheral Solutions Business
We develop all services necessary for the process of opening and managing a beauty salon – we provide clients with a comprehensive “one-stop” service.
Q.Please tell us about overseas expansion.
Our current priority is to increase the number of customers in Japan. However, future plans include the possibility of expansion overseas.

2. Shareholder Benefits

Q.Are there any special benefits for shareholders?
We appreciate the daily support of shareholders. We aim to deepen understanding of our mission statement, increase awareness of our products, enhance the attractiveness of investment in our stock, and grow the number of shareholders who can hold our stock in the medium to long term. To achieve these things, we have introduced a shareholder benefit program with the following strategies.

(1)Target Shareholders
Targeting shareholders who have held one unit (100 shares) or more for one year or more, with a base date of April 30, every year. Shareholders who have been recorded three or more times consecutively with the same shareholder number in the register of shareholders (as of April 30, and October 31) every year are eligible.

(2)Shareholder Benefits
For each applicable shareholder we will present our original brand products (worth 4,400 JPY) at the suggested retail price (April 2017).

(3)Presentation Time
Shipment is scheduled every year in August.

3. Dividends

Q.What is your dividend policy?
Although we recognize the return of profits to shareholders as an important management priority, we believe that at the current time, the wisest strategy toward an increase in business wealth is to continue to invest aggressively.

However, regarding dividends as direct shareholder return policy, our basic policy is to distribute the results backed by our business results.
Q.What is the dividend per share?
For the fiscal year ending April 2017, we plan to pay an ordinary dividend of ¥ 7.0 per share.
